The DCPC is the City-recognized, elected board that advises San Diego on how Downtown grows. Our main role is to review new development projects and to give the community's input on the City's planning and infrastructure priorities. We are volunteer-run, public, and free to join. When a project, a park, a street, or a public dollar is on the table Downtown, we are the community's seat at the table.
Get meeting notices, projects up for input, and news about elections and open seats.
Board members are elected by Downtown stakeholders. Registration opens in the weeks before each election. Get on our list and we will tell you when.
We may have open seats. Apply to fill a current vacancy, or run when a seat opens next election. No planning background required.
Membership is open to everyone with a stake in Downtown: residents, workers, property and business owners, and community organizations with a Downtown presence.
We meet the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 5:30 PM, at City Hall, 12th Floor, Room A (202 C Street), and online by Google Meet. There is always time for public comment. To share a comment in advance, email comments@downtownplanningsd.org.
